The 9th Beijing International Cycling Tour Festival kicked off in Yanqing
On the morning of June 15, the 9th Beijing International Cycling Tour Festival kicked off in Yanqing. Over 5000 cyclists across China have gathered in the park of 2019 Beijing Expo and enjoyed the happiness brought by the cycling tour festival.

During the opening ceremony, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to China read the green-travel proposal for the World Bicycle Day. After the participants declared the opening of the 9th Beijing International Cycling Tour Festival, with Tong Jian, the champion of the World Figure Skating Championships as the leading rider, participants including students of Turkmenistan, the little cyclists of push bike, representatives from different enterprises, and cycling-lovers all started from Badaling International Convention and Exhibition Center successively, and rode along the cycling route towards the park of 2019 Beijing Expo. This has marked the opening of the cycling tour festival.
The cyclists were waiting to start
The cycling tour festival this year has been divided into the recreational cycling group and road racing group. On the morning of the opening ceremony, cycling-lovers across China joined the recreational cycling group and rode along the 17 km cycling route. They started from Badaling International Convention and Exhibition Center, passed the ticket-swap point, returned to the Jiangshuiquan Park, and finally arrived at the gate 6 of 2019 Beijing Expo to enjoy the horticultural feast. The competition of road racing group was held in the afternoon, which was divided into men's open race, men's highway public race, and women's highway public race. The competition included over 200 cyclists.

Meanwhile, the family weekend activity and children's push bike race were set for the families with kids. During the cycling tour festival, over 300 families participated in these two parent-child interactive activities. In addition, all the registration fees, 27220 RMB in total, will be donated to the Red Cross in Yanqing and used for the aid to handicap, hospital, and students.
