Manchurian Features in Daying Village - the Fishing Village beside the Guanting Reservoir

Here used to be the place where troops fighting against each other. Here stands Yanqing's biggest beacon tower. It is an ecological-friendly fishing village where visitors can fish for fun, shoot arrows, and embrace Manchurian customs. This is Daying Village, Kangzhuang Township where the Manchurian features prevail.

Daying Village is located in the northeast part of Kangzhuang Township and close to the Guanting Reservoir. The village has a population of more than 1400 people, with most of them Manchurian.

Climbing upon the biggest beacon tower which is Beijing's grade-two cultural relics, and looking down on Daying Village, you will see green grass, blooming flowers and folk houses nestling behind trees. The village is tranquil, cozy and livable.

If you walk into Daying Village on a sunny morning, Manchurian totem poles located everywhere will jump into your eye. On the two sides of the artificial lake are willows swinging in the wind. A small boat is sailing on the water. In the north of the village are white and fragrant pagoda tree blossom covering a total area of 0.1 square kilometers.

Tourists can wear traditional Manchurian clothes, ride horse and shoot arrows. They can also taste sticky fried bean balls, roast lamb and instant-boiled mutton.
